A fequently answered question

What decisions do I need to make?

The first decision that you need to make is how much money you'd be comfortable spending on your project -- there's no point in designing a $250,000 project if you only want to spend $150,000.

The next decision that you need to make is what are your priorities -- being as clear as possible as to what's important to you, what would be nice to have, what you absolutely must avoid, what you don't care about one way or another, will help with both making design trade-offs and with the day-to-day construction process. Think about what uses you want to be able to accommodate, how much space you need for various uses, what architectural styles, both interior and exterior, that you are interested in.

As far as how to construct the design, don't worry about it -- that's our job.
