Why install a standing seam metal roof?

While an exposed fastener metal roof can be an effective and long lasting roof, each of those screws represents a hole in the roof -- a potential point of failure. (If nothing else, the neoprene gaskets won't last forever.)

A standing seam metal roof has no such issues.

Also note that the steel used for most standing seam roofs is thicker than the steal used for most exposed fastener roofs and will therefore last longer.
